United States police remove white nationalists' memorial to Aussie woman shot by cop

Minneapolis Mayor Elect Responds to Damond Shrine Assembled by White Nationalists White nationalists create memorial for Justine Rusczyzk outside police station

Minneapolis police have removed a memorial created by white nationalists to honor Australian Justine Damond, a woman who was shot and killed last summer by a Somali-American officer. Noor reportedly fired his weapon from the passenger seat of the squad auto after being startled when Damond, who had called 911 to report a possible sexual assault behind her home, approached the driver's side window of the vehicle. The group tweeted an image of their public shrine, which specifically called-out the racial and ethnic background of the shooter, as if to publicize his non-white presence. The Minneapolis Mayor-elect Jacob Frey in the statement condemned the setting up of a memorial outside the police headquarters.

Minneapolis police department spokesman John Elder said officers removed the memorial immediately after they were notified.

Identity Evropa, which is credited for coining the phrase "You Will Not Replace Us", labeled Noor as a "Somali-born killer". Apparently, it is also the same sentiment held by an organization called Identity Evropa, a group that the Southern Poverty Law Center, the Anti-Defamation League and the New Jersey's Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness identify as a hate group.

Mr Freeman expressed frustration during a union holiday reception earlier this month, telling activists that he didn't have enough evidence to charge Noor and said investigators "haven't done their job".

U.S. woman gets $400b electricity bill
Horomanski told her son she had a better idea for a Christmas gift after she saw the $284 billion bill, according to the paper. The Erie resident added that her family wondered if something went wrong after they put their Christmas lights up on the house.

Freeman went on to place fault on investigators at the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. The loud noise may have been that of a woman slapping the officers' patrol vehicle while they drove, according to a search warrant application filed a few weeks after the incident. Moments later, the loud noise went off, and Damond approached the side of the police vehicle.

A conviction requires showing an objectively reasonable officer would have made a different decision than Noor did in shooting Damond. She later died from her injuries.

According to NBC, Noor is still on paid administrative leave. People rallied in Minnesota, Damond's family held beachside vigils in Australia and the Minneapolis police chief resigned over concerns that Noor and Harrity were not trained properly.
