CBS Los Angeles reports model Chrissy Teigen was on board and tweetstormed about it as it was happening.

A Tokyo-bound plane returned to the Los Angeles International Airport Tuesday after the airline thought an unauthorized person boarded the flight, police said.

Los Angeles airport police say they were told to be ready for ANA Flight 175's return before it was discovered there was a mix-up that was ultimately straightened out.

The pilot of Flight 175 chose to return to the originating airport as part of the airline's security procedures, ANA said in statements that apologized to passengers but supported the decision.

Cold weather to stick around Wednesday
However it does fall well below the average temperature. "At that temperature, frostbite can set in in as little as 30 minutes". A "cold Arctic air mass" is expected to hit the Upstate from the north later this week, according to the weather service.

An investigation is underway to determine how the passenger boarded the flight. "We take great pride providing exemplary customer service, and on this flight we failed to do so". She wondered on Twitter why the plane was turning around four hours into the 11-hour flight.

The 32-year-old beauty claimed the person did not have the right boarding pass to be on the plane, and demanded to know more from the police after she said she witnessed fellow passengers being questioned over the "mystery person". Why not just land in Tokyo and send the other person back?

Teigen also tweeted photos, videos and updates as they waited to resume the trip. The pilot made the decision to return to Los Angeles.

"They put our plane in a secure area". And the brunette beauty said she was feeling "forgiving", but had she been drinking, it could have gone very differently. She quipped: "I have been moved to a room with Bravo". "The pleasure I get out of the story is worth more to me than a direct flight to Tokyo".
