News reports the 77-year-old game show host underwent brain surgery to remove blood clots on December 16 at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and is now recuperating.

On Thursday, the Canadian-born host appeared in a video on the "Jeopardy" Facebook page Thursday to announce that he'd had the surgery during the show's holiday break.

Back in December of 2017, Trebek was diagnosed with a subdural hematoma (blood clots) after suffering a fall and had surgery to correct the condition on December 16th. He underwent surgery and remained in the hospital for two days before being released.

Apple says devices vulnerable to chip flaws
According to the BBC , Meltdown affects laptops, desktop computers and internet servers with Intel chips. The experts have advised users to keep their computers and smart devices up to date.

Production on the daily show has been put on hiatus to allow the 77-year-old native of Sudbury, Ont.to recuperate. "The prognosis is excellent, and I expect to be back in the studio taping more "Jeopardy" programs very, very soon". "Jeopardy!" tapings are expected to resume in mid-January.

Since "Jeopardy" is taped months in advance, Trebek's absence will have minimal impact on its shows- the only change made to the schedule is to move the upcoming College Championship to April, CBS said.
