While the rumors that surfaced in the past few weeks already revealed many of its specs and features, we finally know everything there is to know about the new model. The new Nokia 6 resembles the original Nokia 6 released previous year with the same solid design. The phone is exclusive to Suning and will go on sale in China starting January 10, 2018.

One of the more notable internal upgrades of the Nokia 6 (2018) is its processor.

The original Nokia 6, to recall, made its debut in China, so HMD chose to take the launch of its successor in the same country is not that surprising.

The design has also been tweaked, with the fingerprint scanner moving to the back, navigation buttons being moved on-screen and the dimensions changing, as the Nokia 6 (2018) comes in at 148.8 x 75.8 x 8.25mm (or 8.6mm where the camera juts out).

Earlier Nokia also launched the Windows-based smartphones in India but they were not able to compete with the Android-based phones.

The original Nokia 6 gets 4GB RAM along with 32GB or 64GB storage variant, though the 64GB limited version was never launched in the Indian market. The 32GB Nokia 6 (2018) variation will be accessible with a sticker price of CNY 1,499 (generally Rs. 14,600), though its 64GB variation will come at CNY 1,699 (around Rs. 16,600).

The phone features some decent hardware, including a 5.5-inch Full HD display and a relatively powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor. In the software department, the Nokia 6 (2018) runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat, but it is expected to get Android 8.0 Oreo update in the coming weeks. All the connectivity options such as 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS are present on the smartphone. The model boasts of a 3000mAh battery which supports fast charging.

Nokia 1 is another smartphone that the company is going to launch this year. HMD is also using its bold colour accent scheme around the power button and the volume rocker, so all in all, the Nokia 6 2018 looks a lot sharper than the original Nokia 6. However, just a day ahead of its official unveiling, a bunch of images of the purported Nokia 6 (2018) have popped up online that show the handset in more detail.
