Iraq condemns German woman to death for belonging to Islamic State

The Central Criminal Court in Baghdad sentenced a German national woman of Moroccan origin to death by hanging for joining the jihadist group Daesh in Syria and Iraq. Upon reaching the group, both of her daughters married ISIS members.
The woman, who has not been named but is said to be of Moroccan descent, was captured during the battle for Mosul past year.
