"It is a myth", he said while prefacing that the subject falls under the ambit of the Finance Minister", Modi said in the interview. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kumar termed the all-party meeting "fruitful".

The BJP-led Narendra Modi government on Sunday called for an all-party meeting to discuss important issues that need to be addressed during the budget session of Parliament that is scheduled to begin this week.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today appealed all political parties to extend their full cooperation to make the Budget Session of Parliament smooth and productive.

The Triple Talaq Bill that was passed in the Lok Sabha in the last winter session of the Parliament will be in focus in the Upper House in this session. His comments are significant in view of the government's determination to push through the Triple Talaq Bill, which the Opposition wants it to be sent to a select committee.

The opposition also plans to counter the government on issues such as incidents of rape and other atrocities on women, alleged attacks on the Constitution and constitutional institutions and the plight of traders, besides the recent communal violence in Uttar Pradesh.

"Effectively there are just four working days in this session and there are so many issues - there is crisis in judiciary, implementation of GST, farmer's distress and so on - where is the time to discuss all of it", Leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge told The Hindu.

During the session, the Congress and other opposition parties are also likely to deliberate on CPI (M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury's proposal to move a motion to remove Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra. After a recess of almost a month, the session will resume from 5th March and will go on till 6th of April.

The Budget Session will be from January 29 to April 6, with a recess in between.

He said, the Prime Minister also urged the members of Parliament to see whether the procedures of the meetings of Standing Committees can be replicated in State Assemblies as both the members from ruling parties and opposition have a healthy discussion on issues before them leaving aside their political leanings.
