Half of young British women surveyed by the Fawcett Society did not believe they would live to see equal representation in parliament, the rights group - named after the moderate suffragist Millicent Fawcett - said on Tuesday.
A fitting tribute, according to her great-great-granddaughter Kate Barrat. "It was such a significant moment for women and this is the most interesting item for me because it is the real thing, it's what somebody, we don't know who for sure, would have been sent and had in their possession", he says.

Backbencher Jess Phillips said she would be thinking of murdered MP Jo Cox on the centenary, and revealed she sang a pro-suffragette song with colleague Anna Turley as they walked "arm in arm" to her memorial.
"In the early 20th century postcards were big business", says Prof Purvis. "It's a date worthy of commemoration and chance to reflect on how much progress has been made, but also an opportunity for women to get angry and use their voice to strive once more for that long eluded equality", she said.
"Without the other people underneath her, in particular her daughters, I think it would have never happened".
For Prof Purvis, one of the stand-out postcards shows a group of women, supposedly in the House of Commons, showing what a future with women in Parliament would be like.
