On Thursday morning, President Donald Trump was on hand to deliver remarks at the annual National Prayer Breakfast held at the Washington Hilton. Trump said Sophia underwent a high-risk surgery on January 24 and asked people around the world to pray for her, hoping to reach 10,000 people.

"As long as we open our hearts to God's grace, America will be free, the land of the free, the home of the courageous and the light to all nations".

This year Trump's address to the gathering was much more standard National Prayer Breakfast fare.

Trump's appearance at the prayer breakfast was a stark contrast to a year ago, when he delivered a freewheeling speech defending his immigration policy, dismissing reports of hostile phone calls with foreign leaders, and ridiculing Arnold Schwarzenegger for poor ratings after replacing the president as the host of the reality show, "The Celebrity Apprentice".

"The share of Americans who identify as atheists has roughly doubled in the past several years". "The founders invoked our creator four times in the Declaration of Independence". American heroes rise to this calling.

Qualcomm rejects Broadcom hostile bid, opens door to talks
Ever since early November of previous year , there have been talks of Broadcom being interested in acquiring chip-maker Qualcomm. Like the deal rejected by the Qualcomm board in November, this one would have paid Qualcomm shareholders $60 per share in cash.

While Americans identifying as agnostic or atheist remain a significant minority, concerns about the increased elevation of conservative Christianity have arisen during Trump's presidency.

On Thursday, Trump said that the surgery had gone well.

"Let us seek to build a more just and peaceful world where every child can grow up without violence, worship without fear, and reach their God-given potential", he said. Throughout our history, we see the story of God's province.

"We see the Lord's grace in the servicemembers who risk their lives for our freedom, we see it in the teachers who work tirelessly for their students and the police who sacrifice for our communities, and sacrifice they do", he said. "And it excludes this huge segment of the American people". "Our rights come from our Creator", the president claimed. "I do so to remind myself that even in this noisy, conflicted, and sometimes acrimonious world of politics, that we want to treat everybody, everybody the way that we would like to be treated", said Crist. And while numerous president's comments on faith have been polarizing, his words and actions have some concerned with how little influence Americans who don't embrace religion have in the current White House. "And the president doesn't seem to be concerned with that on a number of areas".
