Jason Colon, of Tampa, said on Thursday he noticed white smoke coming out of the painfully trendy headphone bud, set the gizmo down on his workout machine, and went off to get an LA Fitness staffer for help. "I didn't see it happen but it was already fried. You can see fire harm", he told WFLA. An Apple spokesperson told the station that the company is investigating the situation. "But I mean, I'm sure that since it hangs down, I mean, it could've been ear lobe, you know, my ear lobe could've got burnt". Colon said other users should be careful with the AirPods, saying "Just because it happens to me doesn't mean it won't happen again". A year ago, a lady revealed that her earphones detonated while she was wearing them on a plane and obviously there was the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 calamity in 2016.

Apple has said that it is investigating the issue and plans to reach out to Colon. However, this is still the first report of such an incident happening to a pair of AirPods and might only be a once-off incident.

These were caused by manufacturing issues, including poor welding at the battery manufacturer.

As a result, we are relieved the new lightning EarPods are so much better than their predecessors.

Premier League clubs line up to sign Real Madrid star
News outlet AS claims big names such as Spain worldwide Isco , 25, will be axed in order to usher in a new era of Galaticos. I trust in my team and I will do it until the end. "The most important thing for me is the team".

They're surprisingly good at staying put within your ear, and the battery life is commendable. As for now, what are your thoughts on the AirPods blowing up on a Florida man?

The likelihood of losing them is real, but this fault lies in the hands of the consumer, rather than the manufacturer.

This isn't the first case of a popular product bursting into flames.
