American Emily Sweeney crashed in her final run at the 2018 Winter Olympics, knocking her out of the competition.

The American lost control midway through her run and proceeded to bounce off the walls in terrifying fashion.

Emily Sweeney starts to lose control of her toboggan before crashing.

"I'm fine", Sweeney said as she got into an ambulance.

Sweeney was visibly hurting after the crash.

The larger exterior dimensions also translate to more leg, shoulder, and elbow room in the front and rear seats. Pricing will be announced closer to their availability in the USA , which is expected late this summer.

"Oh no, that's bad, you really hate to see that, where the athlete's feet go higher than her head". She was being taken for further evaluation, but a USA Luge spokesperson said he wasn't sure whether she would undergo concussion protocol.

Emily Sweeney's Olympic debut ended with a frightening crash Tuesday in PyeongChang, South Korea. "Thank you all so much for the supportive messages". According to NBC Connecticut anchor Kevin Nathan, Emily "is very sore, but she does not have any broken bones". "I knew I wanted to continue being an athlete, but I didn't want to only be an athlete". She narrowly missed a spot at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. She walked through the mixed zone unsteadily, but told reporters, "I'm okay".

The 24-year-old athlete went sideways first before careening out of control up the wall with the impact of the crash throwing her off her toboggan.

German lugers Natalie Geisenberger and Dajana Eitberger won the gold and silver in the event, while Alex Gough of Canada took the bronze.
