NCAA rules Louisville must vacate 2013 national title

Louisville loses NCAA investigation appeal, will vacate 2013 national title Louisville Forced To Vacate 2013 National Title In Sex Scandal Punishment

The NCAA has confirmed the University of Louisville must give up its 2013 national championship in men's basketball, denying the school's appeal of a decision past year that penalized the Cardinals' program for "arranging striptease dances and sex acts for prospects, student-athletes and others".

The program was also stripped of 123 wins from 2012 to 2015 after an NCAA investigation found that a member of the coaching staff had provided prostitutes and strippers to players and recruits.

"I can not say this strongly enough", interim U of L President Greg Postel said at a news conference.

The decision is merely the latest blow for the scandal-battered Louisville basketball program and its former coach, Rick Pitino, who was forced out in September in an unrelated recruiting scandal. Those wins include the team's 2013 NCAA Tournament championship. You're the champions, ' then we'll take it. I have never been a fan of vacated titles and obviously, we can all remember who won that game in 2013?

It did, however, raise concerns that the infractions panel did not "sufficiently articulate how it balanced the mitigating factors", including U of L's self-imposed 2015 postseason tournament ban, with other factors.

McGee, who was an assistant coach at UMKC when the book was released and storm clouds formed over the UL program, refused to speak to NCAA investigators.

The "FEVER" crate will have "a strong feeling of spring" and can be purchased with BP and unlocked with Early Bird keys. This update has been delayed as the team's resources were focused on cheat blocking and prevention.

Josephine Potuto, a law professor at Nebraska, said when she served on the NCAA committee on infractions, they ended up doing more when it came to vacating wins.

The FBI investigation that rocked college basketball prior to the start of the 2017-2018 season has much more coming, according to Yahoo Sports, but the NCAA may have given a glimpse of what is to come on Tuesday morning.

The NCAA announced the decision on the appeal on Tuesday.

The committee assuredly will say the cases are separate, but when you're awaiting an appeal on one serious charge and your school is hit with an equal or worse charge, it might also be naive to believe one didn't impact the other.

"We'll remove the official recognition, but it won't remove it from our hearts and minds", Louisville interim athletics director Vince Tyra said Tuesday moments after the NCAA's announcement.

And no, Beilein has no plans (that we know of) to get his own with a block "M" instead of the "L" (which, as our Brandon Brown points out, gives "Taking the "L" a whole new meaning"). "But I also have done roses and flowers, anything with a lot of shading".
