Israel Shoots Dead Palestinian in West Bank

Avraham Binyamin, a Yitzhar spokesman, said two Palestinians were seen approaching Yitzhar with a "burning object".

At Abbas' orders, the PA security agencies are continuing to closely coordinate with the Israel Defense Forces and the Shin Bet security service, and they are regularly assisting in the rescue of Israelis who stray into Area A, which is under PA control.

The Israeli army claimed that the soldiers shot the Palestinian while he was allegedly "throwing a Molotov cocktail at them", and added that it is "investigating the incident".

"We are experiencing terrorist attacks by Arabs from the villages near the settlement, nearly daily", said Yitzhar secretariat chairman Uriah Cohen.

Last Tuesday, the Israeli settlers attacked the Palestinian village of Madama, to the South of Nablus. It says troops arrived and fired live rounds to disperse the confrontation.

Some Palestinian media reported that Jabari was deaf. "[It could also] be used to further compromise the Palestinian presence in East Jerusalem, which would further undermine the prospects of a two-state solution".

Two advisers to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas told Israeli i24news TV channel that bin Salman and Sisi had advised Abbas to accept the so-called "deal of the century" to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Palestinian groups have called for clashes with Israeli forces to protest the U.S. administration's decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital and relocate the USA embassy to the city.

Palestinians have been holding weekly rallies to denounce the move ever since US President Donald Trump announced it back on December 6. In February, the United States administration announced that it would open its Jerusalem embassy in May 2018, to coincide with the 70th anniversary of Israel's independence. A number of Muslim leaders have warned the move may lead to violence.
