Robert Mueller Can't Get It Up for Collusion on 'Saturday Night Live'

Mueller breaks up with collusion probe in 'SNL' parody of 'The Bachelor' finale SNL's Robert Mueller breaks up with Trump collusion probe in 'The Bachelor' spoof

Saturday Night Live took on the Trump administration once again this weekend, with This is Us star Sterling K. Brown playing housing secretary Ben Carson and Kate McKinnon playing special counsel Robert Mueller as "the Bachelor". On the finale of ABC's hit series, which aired earlier this week, Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. proposed to one contestant, before breaking it off with her and proposing instead to the runner-up.

If you thought this week's Bachelor breakup was tough to watch... this week's SNL cold open might be even tougher. Mueller asks, and Becca shakes her head. "I'm excited to see him".

"How do I start this conversation? I was ready to do the damn thing". The "Seychelles were incredible ... but I keep thinking about obstruction".

"You don't have Trump on collusion?"

"Well, I just, um, I think I need to explore the possibility that I might have a stronger case with some other stuff", McKinnon says. Four top aides have been indicted or pleaded guilty along with 13 Russian hackers, who disrupted the 2016 election with fake news. "I'm just trying to be honest with you in telling you I can't commit to collusion right now". You watch as Strong struggles to keep her emotions in check while she ponders the reality of six more years with a narcissistic sociopath running the country.

"This is so fucking embarrassing", Strong says.

"Collusion is the only thing I've been looking for the past year", Becca said through a split screen that hilariously capturing them both in the true reality TV fashion. As in, The Bachelor-and went so far as to reenact the utterly cringeworthy finale breakup that made #BachelorNation silently scream from their sofas last week.

After a lot of crying in the bathroom and anxious, nervous silence, Kufrin asked the question on many viewers minds: "So that's it?"

"So that's it? He's just going to be president?"
