The Cincinnati Bengals have agreed to a trade with the Buffalo Bills for left tackle Cordy Glenn, a source told ESPN's Josina Anderson. The teams will swap a series of draft picks as part of the deal, which bolsters the Bengals in the trenches for next season.

With a new need opening up for the Bills at the quarterback position, they are extremely inclined to look for a way to move up in the draft and take a potential franchise quarterback. The offensive line of the future in Cincinnati was supposed to consist of tackles Cedric Ogbuehi and Jake Fisher, who were both selected in the 2015 NFL Draft, but neither player has really lived up to expectations. The offense finished last in the league in large measure because its line couldn't protect Andy Dalton or open holes for the running backs. They have the 12th and 22nd picks in the first round, plus another two picks each in the second and third rounds of the draft. An ankle injury also hampered his availability during the 2016 season, when he missed five games. 21 and 22) were worth only enough to move to No. 7 under a conventional draft trade value chart.

After letting Andrew Whitworth and Kevin Zeitler leave in free agency previous year, the Bengals offensive line was a total disaster in 2017.

The former Georgia Bulldog was made expendable after Dion Dawkins' strong rookie season in 2017.

Glenn's cap number will hit $14,450,000 this year, as he was under a five year, $60 million dollar contract with the Bills in May of 2016.

Reportedly, the Bengals will assume all of Glenn's current contract.

The Bills now have traded QB Tyrod Taylor and Glenn, clearing more than $15 million from the salary cap.
