"We will impeach the president, '" Trump said in reference to Waters" frequent calls to impeach Trump.
She admitted she doesn't how schools are performing in the state of MI, her home state.
The secretary also argued that the federal government has "invested billions and billions and billions of dollars ... and we have seen zero results" in public education. There is no doubt about it, ' she said.
It wouldn't have taken an oracle to figure out that the education secretary would be asked about schools in her home state on 60 Minutes, but DeVos was somehow wildly unprepared for the question.
'Are you in any way, do you think, suggesting that the number of false accusations are as high as the number of actual rapes or assaults?' Stahl asked. DeVos has denied it.
DeVosstruggled to answer basic questions about school performance and was unable to to provide accurate information or data to defend some of the controversial programs she has championed - including a plan that she claims will improve public schools by cutting their funding. And one year later, DeVos still has no idea what she's talking about, if last night's sit-down with 60 Minutes is any indication.
"Why take away money from that school that's not working?"
The interview came as the White House announced that DeVos would lead a commission to examine ways of protecting schools and students from gun violence in the wake of the February 14 shooting at a high school in Parkland, Fla.
Erin Tuttle, a parent activist from IN and a co-author of the book Deconstructing the Administrative State: The Fight for Liberty, notes to Breitbart News, "As Secretary of Education, it's DeVos's job to make the case to the American people on the need to reverse the Obama-era guidance on school discipline policies referenced by Stahl". What about those kids?
DeVos followed up with a second tweet about how students at charter schools in Detroit are doing better than their peers at public schools in the city. CBS News correspondent Lesley Stahl asked.

Regarding charter schools in Detroit, CREDO says: "Charter students in the city of Detroit (27% of the state's charter students), are performing even better than their peers in the rest of the state, on average gaining almost three months achievement for each year they attend charter schools". When Stahl stated that the students want gun control, DeVos answered that "they want a variety of things, they want solutions".
"I don't know, I don't know".
CNN's Kaitlan Collins says that Trump Administration officials are extremely concerned with Betsy DeVos after how badly the Secretary of Education did in her recent media hits.
Betsy DeVos:I hesitate to talk about all schools in general because schools are made up of individual students attending them.
STAHL:The public schools here are doing worse than they did. A variety of recent studies have shown school in MI lagging behind in a a number of educational measures, so that much isn't in doubt. DeVos didn't seem to know, and Stahl was quite sure they're doing worse. The Dear Colleague Letter said school personnel must "understand that they, rather than school resource officers and other security or law enforcement personnel, are responsible for administering routine student discipline".
"Maybe I should, yes". Whether any of this benefits students or not is still to be determined, but for the time being, the secretary is bumbling her way through just like many of her inexperienced cabinet cohorts. Whether DeVos is capable of solving them is still to be determined - and her showing on 60 Minutes isn't exactly a vote of confidence.
STAHL: Do you ever say.
During her confirmation hearing past year, DeVos memorably supported the idea of arming teachers - perhaps against grizzly bears, she joked. DeVos, saying that too many men were falsely accused, set new rules making it harder for accusers to prove their accusations.
