San Bruno Police Chief Ed Barberini told reporters the deceased woman had died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Officers then encountered a second person, who was likely the suspect, shot from a self-inflicted wound.

He said he was barricaded in a room with his co-workers before being safely evacuated.

However Stanford Health Care Hospital said it has received four to five patients following the shooting, according to Sky News.

One victim has been shot in the chest although no fatalities have been confirmed, reports ABC7News.

Google, YouTube's parent company, told NBC news in a written statement that it was coordinating with local authorities. A fourth victim was also transported to an area hospital.

At least four people were injured in this San Francisco suburb Tuesday when gunfire erupted at YouTube headquarters on Tuesday afternoon. Spokesman Brent Andrew says a 36-year-old man was in critical condition, a 32-year-old woman was in serious condition and a 27-year-old woman was in fair condition.

He couldn't provide details on any possible weapons used or any new information on the shooter.
