Facebook adding new features for dating, Mark Zuckerberg says

It's complicated: Facebook adding dating profiles as it aims to regain user trust Facebook gets into the online dating business
Guillermo Lane | 02 May, 2018, 01:15

The post British MPs Pressure Zuckerberg To Testify On Facebook Breach appeared first on Channels Television. Everything on the dating platform will be completely private (#CambridgeAnalytica4eva), Zuckerberg said. This sparked a campaign urging Facebook members to leave the site and calls for tighter regulation over user data, especially as Facebook makes most of its revenue from advertising that is targeted at individual users based on their online activity. "Your Facebook won't be as good while it relearns your preferences." he said.

Zuckerberg, in a post on his Facebook account, said he will discuss the feature at Facebook's annual F8 conference which begins today. For instance, Facebook could use the conference to release a portable headset created to turn the so far geeky realm of virtual reality into a mass phenomenon.

The $199 device, called the Oculus Go, is going on sale Tuesday.

A number of amendments have been presented by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg during the F8 presentation, including a simplified messenger, Instagram update, and new dating service.

The letter goes on to suggest Zuckerberg could attend a United Kingdom parliamentary hearing during his May trip to Europe, when he is also giving evidence to the European Parliament.

The company is also introducing a "Clear History" tool that lets users delete the information the social network has on them from websites and apps that used Facebook's ads and analytics tools.

Avengers: Infinity War Writers Address Ant-Man's Status
As it turns out, Ant-Man was nowhere to be found in Avengers: Infinity War . This trailer features Evangeline Lilly as the main character in the film.

Facebook is launching a dating feature. About Zuckerberg announced on his page in Facebook.

That is, if you want.

After the recent two days long congressional testimony given by the Company CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, it is expected that he will leverage this platform to talk more about the current privacy environment on their platform, after this CA incident. The company has been under fire recently for possibly not doing this with some of its features over the years.

The feature will be opt-in, and will not match users with people they're already friends with. Most major dating apps - including Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, Coffee Meets Bagel, and even Feeld - require you to connect the app to your Facebook account in order to sign up for the service.

It is expected that Facebook will help serve our curiosity on this developer conference as to what other outlandish projects they are investing their resources into this year.

The dating service is being built with privacy in mind, so that friends will not be able to see a person's dating profile, Zuckerberg said.
