President Donald Trump today said that he is willing to testify before Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is probing the allegations of Russian interference in 2016 U.S. presidential elections, but wants assurance of fair treatment.

Trump today again accused Mueller of having partisan investigators.

Trump concluded his comments by calling the investigation a "witch hunt", saying, "I would love to go and speak but I have to find we will be treated fairly". I would love to speak.nobody wants to speak more than me.I would love to speak because we?ve done nothing wrong.? he said responding to a shouter question from reporters. Trump and he had discussed disclosing Trump's repaying Cohen, and "he was well aware that at some point when I saw the opportunity, I was going to get this over with", Giuliani added.

Trump referred to the payments story as "that kind of crap" and said Giuliani was still getting up to speed on his legal position. The president's legal team has not committed him to an interview with Mueller, who has dozens of questions on a broad array of topics he'd like to ask.

Former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, who joined Trump's legal team two weeks ago, told The Washington Post on Wednesday that he could support a relatively short interview between Mueller and the president, with a limited number of questions.

The president told reporters that "if you fight back because you people say something wrong or they. something wrong, or they leak, which they've been doing, if you fight back, they say, 'Oh, that's obstruction of justice.' Somebody says something wrong, you fight back, they say, 'That's obstruction of justice.' It's nonsense".

Blankenship has expressed admiration for Trump's ability to confound expectations and win the White House. Since 2000 the Republican presidential nominee has carried the state.

"Ty Cobb, a friend of the president, who has done a terrific job, will be retiring at the end of the month".

But joining the White House to replace McGahn would make Flood an official government employee, meaning Mueller's team could question him about the president in ways that would not be protected by attorney-client privilege.

That means that, at least until January of 2019, when there is the possibility Democrats could regain power in the chamber, Trump's future rests in the Republican-controlled House, which will likely follow closely with how most Republican voters feel.

Progress toward denuclearization has already been made, Trump said, and expressed optimism for what's to come.

Cobb's departure was not unexpected given that he had largely wrapped up his duties of providing documents to Mueller and shepherding aides through voluntary interviews with the special counsel's team. "They say, 'That's obstruction of justice.' It is nonsense", he said.

Mueller is a Republican and was appointed by another Republican, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, to lead the investigation. "In fact, against my lawyers, because most lawyers they never speak on anything", Trump said.
