Belgium star Eden Hazard said he will support Egypt at the World Cup for his friend Mohamed Salah following Wednesday's worldwide friendly.

Salah was forced to leave the pitch in the first half of the Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid after suffering a shoulder injury following a challenge from Ramos.

On May 30, the federation had said Salah would be out for "not more" than three weeks, meaning he could miss Egypt's opening World Cup Group A fixture against Uruguay on June 15.

"Now I'm better", Salah told Marca, "I hope to play the first game against Uruguay".

Last October, the Liverpool winger scored twice in the win over Congo that qualified Egypt, nicknamed the Pharaohs, for their third finals - and their first since 1990.

The Liverpool superstar left the field in tears as his Champions League dream was crushed, simultaneously leaving his World Cup hopes hanging by a thread.

Belgium hammered the final nail into Egypt's halting FIFAWorld Cup 2018 warm-up campaign with an assured 3-0 win in Brussels on Wednesday that settled some nerves among the fancied hosts, who lacked injured defensive linchpin Vincent Kompany.

"It's amusing", he said when asked on Ramos direct comments on the incident.

Salah's swift return to fitness - he picked up the injury on May 26 - is a welcome boost for Egypt boss Hector Cuper who accepted his side lack's something special when Salah is missing.

Following their clash with Uruguay, Egypt will meet hosts Russian Federation on June 19 and Saudi Arabia.

Ramos also said that Salah had told him he was "okay" in a text exchange shortly after the final, but the Premier League's Golden Boot victor for 2017-18 has denied these claims.

Belgium's captain and talisman, Eden Hazard, has likened Roberto Martínez's squad to England's famed "golden generation" of players but believes his team-mates can deliver in Russian Federation when the World Cup begins next week.

"The pressure was to qualify for the World Cup. We want to get into the next round and do things well there", he added.

"He's not hard, I think he's a good coach, a good man". We want to make history and achieve something different. "That doesn't go through my head", he said.
