Rumor: Milwaukee Bucks rescind offer to Jabari Parker

Jabari Parker Milwaukee Bucks Forward Jabari Parker Hosts Pickup Game In Local Park

The Bulls are banking on him to stay healthy after he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee twice in four seasons with Milwaukee.

The Chicago Bulls announced today that the team has signed forward Jabari Parker.

Jabari Parker has signed a two-year, $40 million deal with the Chicago Bulls. He had been a restricted free agent, but the Milwaukee Bucks pulled their qualifying offer at the last moment, allowing Parker to become an unrestricted free agent and simply agree to a deal with the Bulls. "We look forward to welcoming him back to his hometown".

Jabari Parker is heading home.

The Parker deal comes amid a dust-storm of National Basketball Association singing news, from the new Lakers with Rajon Rondo, LeBron James and Lance Stephenson (who can hopefully refrain from blowing on Bron's cheek), to Kawhi Leonard possibly going to the Raptors (!), to Paul George being content to stay in OKC and play second fiddle to the manic and stylish Russell Westbrook.

Parker, who was selected No. 2 overall in the 2015 NBA Draft, averaged 12.6 points and 4.9 rebounds per game last season.

Parker, 23, will return to Chicago, where he was the No. 1 recruit in America out of Simeon High School in 2013.

During that season, the forward averaged 20 points, six rebounds and almost three assists in 50 games before suffering a knee injury.

The Bulls also announced the release of guard Julyan Stone and forward Paul Zipser.

The bulls plan to build a young team with Parker at its centre, along with big man Lauri Markkanen, Zach LaVine.

"Thank you to my teammates for being like brothers to me".
