However, now we know who will be voicing the blue speedster: Parks and Recreation's Ben Schwartz. Standard Sonic stuff then.

Now shooting under Paramount Pictures, the live action Sonic the Hedgehog film also features former X-Men actor James Marsden among its growing cast, with director Jeff Fowler at the helm, noted for receiving an Oscar nod for 2005 animated short "Gopher Broke". There's Dewy from the new Duck Tales, who is blue.

Schwartz is certainly an in-demand voice actor now, and perhaps not coincidentally, this facet of his career really took off after the actor lent his voice to Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Retired Astronaut Says We Don't Need Trump's Space Force
The vice president asserted the administration is seeking to add the new military branch by 2020. We are glad that the Pentagon is finally taking these steps in enhancing our space strength.

Marsden will play a small-town cop from South Dakota who ends up going on a road trip to San Francisco with Sonic the Hedgehog as they race against the evil Dr. Robotnik (Carrey) to recover Sonic's rings.

While Ben Schwartz will be lending his voice to a character that will be created entirely in post-production, Jim Carrey will be doing live-action work for his villainous role in the movie.

Schwartz will later be seen this summer in the comedy thriller Blue Iguana. (Fast and Furious series) will produce the adaptation which has Jeff Fowler (Blur Studio, Academy Award nominee for 2005 Best Animated Short Film Gopher Broke) set to direct and Deadpool's Tim Miller executive producing. The film is now scheduled to hit theaters on November 15, 2019, so stay tuned for more.
