Fahrenheit 11/9: first trailer for Michael Moore's Trump documentary

Fahrenheit 11/9: first trailer for Michael Moore's Trump documentary ‘Fahrenheit 11/9’ Trailer: Michael Moore Doc Targets Mid-Term Elections
Ivan Hill | 10 August, 2018, 07:59

The trailer includes footage of Trump rallies, neo-Nazi protests, Roger Stone, Parkland shooting survivors, and Moore himself hosing down the gated lawn of MI governor Rick Snyder with water from Flint.

Fahrenheit 11/9 hits theaters on September 21, 2018.

He emphasizes that having "hope" alone is passive, saying our nation should not rely on this to solve our problems.

Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore is working on a new Donald Trump documentary that calls the president the last democratically-elected leader America will ever have. "This is the movie that will end the madness". Moore asks in the trailer.

"Moore told HuffPost that he hopes the film exposes the "grave danger" posed by Trump".

Oscars to Trim Some Awards From Telecast, Add a ‘Popular Film’ Category
The 2018 awards show, which clocked in at nearly four hours, was the least-watched Oscars to date. The 2019 ceremony will still air on February 24, while the 2020 show will move to February 9.

14 years after its release, Fahrenheit 9/11 is still the highest grossing documentary of all time, having taken $222m worldwide.

Since Trump won the election, the Oscar-winning documentarian has referred to the president a "traitor" who should be arrested and tweeted that his presidency is a "total bomb" that will "close early" (with the help of his 10-point plan).

Many of Moore's prior movies caused a stir, but that was before the omnipresence of social media, Since we're all constantly drowning in the never-ending news cycle of Trump's latest idiotic statement or decision, I'm not sure how effective this film can be.

The "Fahrenheit 11/9" footage also shows Moore speaking to David Hogg, the activist student who survived the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting on February 14, 2018, and progressive Democratic Congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who won a stunning victory in the primary earlier this summer. We don't need hope. They're getting steamrolled by a tyrant because Trump understands media and understands the country he lives in more than those that cover him do.

"Hope is passive. Hope gives you permission to let someone else do the work".
