Billionaire Elon Musk's SpaceX has signed the world's first private passenger to fly around the Moon aboard.

SpaceX, the private space exploration company that tests its rocket motors at its facility in McGregor west of Waco, has signed up a traveler for a flight to the moon.

If the project is successful, it would mark the first time someone has been to the moon since the last Apollo mission in 1972. In its tweet Thursday, SpaceX shared what Musk confirmed on Twitter was a new rendering of the BFS.

The big reveal on who it is - and when the flight to the moon will be - will be announced Monday at the company's headquarters in Hawthorne, California.

The webcast is embedded below. Asked whether he'd be the first passenger, Musk-who's also the chief executive officer of Tesla Inc. -posted an emoji of a Japanese flag. We plan to do that, probably in the fourth quarter of next year (2018).

The vote, however, has little chance of ending up with the ultimate penalty of Hungary being suspended from voting in the EU. Orban has said the mostly Muslim refugees pose an existential threat to Europe's Christian civilization.

The company said more details would be made available on Monday.

SpaceX now has a $1.6 billion contract with NASA to supply the astronauts living at the ISS, via regular cargo trips on its Dragon spaceship, launched aboard a Falcon 9 rocket. The original plan called for two paying passengers to fly around the moon this year, using a Falcon Heavy rocket and a Dragon crew capsule.

The names and identities of those two tourists - and how much they meant to pay - were never revealed.

Musk announced the BFR in 2017 and has since gone on to state that it could be used for a wide array of purposes.

He has also said that eventually the fleet of SpaceX rockets will be phased out and the BFR will be responsible for all of SpaceX's ambitions. "And we believe we can do this with the revenue we receive from launching satellites and servicing the space station".
