The US First Lady is now on a week-long tour of the continent for her first solo trip, visiting countries like Ghana, Malawi, Kenya and Egypt to promote conservation and child wellbeing. I´m glad that Judge Kavanaugh was heard, ' Trump said, referring to Christine Blasey Ford, who accused Kavanaugh of pinning her down and groping her when they were both in high school.

Egypt was the fourth and last stop of her African trip, which had seen her promoting the work of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), a department that has seen its funding cut twice by Mr Trump.

But, speaking of her husband, she said she doesn't "always agree with what he tweets".

Mrs. Trump arrived in Cairo today after a flight from Kenya. As photos from the visit show, she donned a white pith helmet. Trump made her "Be Best" initiative a focus of the trip.

Asked whether she's ever told her husband to put his phone down, she smiled and said yes.

She added that Kavanaugh is "highly qualified for the Supreme Court". She said they don't always see eye to eye and that she voices her opinions.

This week, Mrs Trump visited Ghana, Malawi, Kenya and Egypt - making some worldwide media to describe the trip inaccurately as a visit to every corner of the continent. "What happened so many years ago is really a tragedy", she said.

"I don't think (President) Trump cares about what we feel".

Mrs Trump praised the reception and hospitality she has recieved in Egypt, expressing her appreciation and admiration of ancient Egyptian heritage and her respect for the friendship between the two nations.

Melania had earlier met with president Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi, the first president to hold a meeting with her on the trip.

"Melania Trump went on a safari in Kenya wearing a pith helmet - a symbol of European colonial rule across Africa", another person tweeted. The people love her, and she loves them!

Music accompanied by the beat of drums greeted her arrival at an orphanage in Nairobi, where a group of children dressed in bright yellow T-shirts and patterned bottoms escorted her up a driveway to the building.
