Leading pro-life groups are celebrating the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, after the Senate turned back a character assassination campaign spearheaded by pro-abortion Democrat senators and pro-abortion groups to attempt to derail the nomination. (An allegation, it should be said, that was disproven by reporters on the ground.) The following day, after the judge's confirmation, he spoke for American women, saying they were "outraged at what happened to Brett Kavanaugh". "I think we have a momentum that hasn't been seen in years", he said.

"It's turned our base on fire", Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said Saturday, moments after the Senate confirmed Kavanaugh. However, the Federal Bureau of Investigation probe found nothing to corroborate the sexual assault allegations against Kavanaugh. "It would take Republicans another week of slow deliberations to win over the small handful of swing votes who would determine Judge Kavanaugh's fate".

It was the narrowest Senate vote to confirm a justice since 1881. It capped a fight that seized the national conversation after allegations emerged that Kavanaugh had sexually assaulted women three decades ago. "Pursuant with the data practices act, we are limited to providing additional information regarding this matter", Zuzek said in a statement.

"Think about it, there's no chance that an opposition party in control of the Senate is going to fill a Supreme Court vacancy occurring in the middle of a presidential election year, and that's why it hasn't happened since the 1880's", the leader said, which differs from the original argument he cited for refusing to give Garland a Senate hearing and vote.

"I'm doing rallies and people are loving that man and loving that choice", he said.

"In the White House, aides gathered in Vice President Mike Pence's office in the Senate Dirksen Building were 'demoralized, ' officials said. It was a great vote, a very historic vote", Trump said. "So, I think even before you start focusing on questions about his truthfulness before a Senate committee, you've got to focus on the urgency of the work over the next 30 days, and that's where my focus is". Heidi Heitkamp, who voted "no" on Kavanaugh. Kavanaugh, Collins insisted, "fits within the mainstream of legal thought" and is "more of a centrist than his critics maintain"; further, he has a "record of judicial independence" and will protect abortion rights as well as access to health insurance if one has a preexisting condition-which, of course, would be just about anyone over the age of 40.

Hicks assumes the position as the new Fox takes shape in the aftermath of the selling of most of 21st Century Fox to Disney. Hicks, one of Trump's longest-serving and most trusted aides, resigned from her White House job earlier this year.

"We were standing up for the presumption of innocence in this country", McConnell said of his support for Kavanaugh, blaming protesters on Capitol Hill for a "full-scale effort to intimidate" senators.

Advisers and Senate leaders had urged Trump not to attack Ford publicly, anxious such a move would anger on-the-fence senators.

Kavanaugh officially took his place on the Supreme Court Saturday after several weeks of heated political fights and claims of improper conduct from multiple accusers.

The president - whose Republicans fear losing at least the lower chamber of Congress in November - angrily predicted that the Kavanaugh row would backfire on Democrats.

"'I don't know. I don't know".
