Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib have become the first Muslim women elected to Congress after both Democrats won their congressional midterm 2018 races. "And that if you just believe in the possibility of someone like me", Talib added.

Tlaib (D) is the daughter of Palestinian immigrants and ran a progressive campaign. In 2016, she was elected a Democratic Party member of the Minnesota House of Representatives, making her the first Somali-American legislator elected to a public office in the United States.

In addition to being one of the first two Muslim women elected to Congress, Tlaib is the first Palestinian-American woman to join congressional ranks.

In the video, Tlaib delivered a victory speech in which she acknowledged her family watching from overseas in the Palestinian Authority-administered West Bank. With this victory, she will be the first Somali-American elected to U.S. Congress. Tlaib is the first Palestinian-American elected to Congress.

Omar, who arrived in the United States at the age of 14 after fleeing civil war in Somalia and lived in Kenya's Dadaab camp, campaigned on a platform which called for universal healthcare and tuition-free colleges.

He likes the company's "honed focus", as Lowe's cuts its losses and doubles down on improving its highest-potential stores. To provide an "an orderly wind-down", Lowe's intends to conduct store closing sales for most of the locations.

There is also a lot of evidence that she may have married her brother and therefore committed massive immigration fraud, according to PJ Media.

After Tlaib won her primary race in August, she published several anti-Israel tweets, and re-tweeted a fan who declared that Tlaib's "first fight was for Palestine, always Palestine".

MA will also be getting its first black congresswoman while Arizona and Tennessee stand to elect their first woman senators.

Their victories, which were anticipated, come as US President Donald Trump and other GOP figures continue to stoke fear about Islam and immigrants as sources of problems and danger.
