A White House staff member reaches for the microphone held by CNN's Jim Acosta as he questions President Donald Trump during a news conference, in a combination of photos at the White House in Washingon, Nov. 7, 2018.

Abba Shapiro did a side-by-side and frame-by-frame analysis of AP's video from President Donald Trump's contentious news conference Wednesday and the version spread on Twitter by Trump press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

CNN's Jim Acosta told CNN's Anderson Cooper that he *never* touched the female White House aide that tried to take the mic away from him. Acosta asked the US leader about his claim that Central American migrants walking through Mexico toward the southern USA border were "invading" the country.

When Acosta tried to ask further questions, Trump became angry, demanding that the reporter sit down and give up the microphone. It looks to me like he was trying to fend her off and got a little carried away trying to block her arm in the heat of an already heated moment. "As visual journalists, we know that manipulating images is manipulating truth", said Whitney Shefte, president of the the White House News Photographers Association.

Phillip said it was a fair question given the president's frequent public attacks on former attorney general Jeff Sessions, who had to recuse himself from overseeing the probe.

Ryan, who has worked as the White House bureau chief for American Urban Reporters Network for more than 20 years, did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Baltimore Sun.

Trump also called out Acosta for his well-documented and theatrical spats with Sanders during the normal course of press briefings.

There was all the conditions to play very badly, for the cold, for the opponents, for the pitch, for everything. Milan Pavkov's first half double was enough for the hosts to secure a memorable victory over the Reds.

During Lyndon Johnson's presidency, the Secret Service denied clearance to Robert Sherrill, a reporter for The Nation who had gotten into physical fights with government officials.

Since Sanders shared the video, #FireSanders has started to pick up steam on Twitter. In fact, she asked the most pertinent question of the day. "When you're in the White House, this is a very sacred place to me", Trump insisted.

"I haven't made that decision, but it could be others also", the president responded. "And the way you treat other people is awful". Phillip asked of the special counsel's Russian Federation investigation.

Waving his finger, Trump berated him. Trump's insults "are nothing new". As the Society of Professional Journalists warns, "injecting oneself into the story or creating news events for coverage is not objective reporting, and it ultimately calls into question the ability of a journalist to be independent, which can damage credibility".

CNN's other White House reporters and producers have been unaffected by the action against Acosta.

Pulling a journalist's White House pass is rare and the misconduct bar is high.
